How HE Loves Us

Sunday night we sang a new song at church. Oh, How He Loves Us. That was basically all that it said. It really got me thinking about a deep love. I can only compare the love that the Lord has for me with the deepest love that I know. The love that I have for my kids. I love Jeff and I love my mama, but there is just something about the love that a mother has for her children. Love that endures no matter what. No matter how many times Conner pulls all the plastic bowls and cups out of the cabinet or how many times I have to put Tanner in time out for not listening, I still love them, with all of my heart. (I'm sure there will be worse things as they get older.) I loved them even before they were born and even more once they were born, instantly. I am so proud of every new thing they do. When Conner blows kisses and Tanner sounds out words, it makes me proud to say that they are my kids.

Just imagine someone loves you more than that. My God loves me no matter how many times I mess up or how many times I ask him to answer my needs. He loved me before I was born and before I knew him. He is always waiting for me with his arms and his heart wide open. HE LOVES ME! Unconditionally, no questions asked, no obligations to be met. It amazes me more and more every day what he will do for me, if I just love him back, with the little bit of love that I know how to give.

I added the song to my playlist, so scroll down and hit play on, How He Loves Us.

Is There a Doctor in the House?

Tanner wants to be a doctor for Halloween. I have tried to change his mind to a superhero, or an animal, or anything else, but he has stuck with "I want to be a Doctor".
So his costume came in and he has worn it every day and doctored everyone in the house.
Today Mamoo and Papoo came over with a tummy ache and an ear ache.

Tanner found a "red spot" on Mamoo and she needed a band aid. Fixed her good as new!

Papoo had a earache. So Tanner cleaned his ears out. Gave him some medicine and of course listened to his heart.
All of this only cost $1 and they were both instructed to return in 5 days.
To top it all off the Dish man was here doing a repair and watched all of this. I know he was thinking, "these people are crazy!"

Trip to the Dentist

Last week Tanner had his first trip to the Dentist.
We saw Dr. Ben the pediatric dentist in Marianna.

Ms. Crystal cleaned Tanner's teeth. He was so good.
He just sat there with his mouth open wide
and watched t.v. I was amazed at how good he was.

Before we went in.

Sitting in the chair, just like a big kid.

After he was so proud of his clean teeth.

And, the best part, NO CAVITIES!

No Sweet Lullabies, Please

There is a new Rock Star in the house!

(not a great video, but you get the idea)

Conner loves to crawl on the stage and rock out.

He slams the keyboard and screams in the mic.

And he really likes the attention he gets when he's jammin'.

kids say

the darndest things...

Last night while Tanner was doing his school work, he was distracted so I tried to do a little pretending.

I said, "I'll be the teacher and you be the student."

Tanner said, "Mommy you can't be a teacher. Teacher's have perfect HAIR."

What does this mean? Does it mean that I don't have perfect hair, or just that I don't have perfect teacher hair? What is perfect teacher hair?

Where does he come up with this stuff?

Scalloping

Monday we went scalloping in St. Joe.
The weather wasn't bad because it was overcast, but it didn't rain. (just like Earl predicted)

Tanner swam around in his swim ring with his "gobbles" on holding on to Jeff's shorts. It was worth it just to see how funny they looked.

Conner was sleepy the whole time and didn't get to get in the water, because we couldn't find a spot that was shallow and sandy, of course.

Tanner even kept his "gobbles" and swim ring on while he help Earl drive.

We didn't get many scallops and Jeff lost his shoe(something crazy always has to happen), but we had fun and we can say we went scalloping this year.

The LieBerry

Today we went to the Library (or LieBerry) for the first time.

Tanner got a "lieberry" card and 2 books.

He really liked it. I think we will go back.

Gettin' Smarts

Ok, so that wasn't the best grammar, but I'm teaching a 3 year old here.

Most days Tanner has school time for about 30 minutes. (that's all I can take) We read, do art, draw or have a little computer time.
With me he does his school book,
"Learn to Read in 100 Easy Lessons"
I think we have had this book for more that 100 days and we are only on lesson 19, but today he read "sam is mad at me". I am very impressed. He doesn't love to do it, but he is very proud of himself when he really reads something.

With Yaya he does his line books (mazes) or starfall.com.
Mazes are his favorite thing and he is really good at them.
He is amazing on the computer. I can't believe how he can click on things and follow the instructions on the games.
He is going to be a smart kid.
