Sweet Prayers of a Little Brother

Today while we were hanging out at Mission 180, Conner went up to the altar and knelt down to pray. I went up and asked him if he wanted me to pray with him and he said no. So when he got done he came up to me and I asked what he was praying about and he says, "I was praying for Tanner to be able to ride his skate board." How sweet and simple. And such a great reminder of how God wants us to pray. He wants us to pray even for things that seem small and insignificant. To pray for each other not just for ourselves. To pray simply. How awesome that God will once again use children as an example!

Watermelon and Rainy Days

"If it rains one more day in Florida they are going to rename it
Rain-a" - Tanner

So today we made watermelon jelly and watermelon slushies. The slushies were great and the jelly looks good, but we haven't tasted it.

Hopefully the sun will pop out tomorrow!

Summer Vacation 2013

We have been having a great summer so far! Last week we went to Destin for the beginning of the week then headed to New Orleans for the rest of the week. We loved being with all of our family in one week!

First day in destin. We only had 2 carts entirely full of luggage.

Then we headed to Big Kahunas.

Fishing trip in the Cari Lynd. Then, the best part, eating our catch right at the dock!

Conner and Malec were double trouble. They even let Nate and Tanner join in some of the time.

The beach was perfect! Just a reminder of how awesome our God is.

We had lots of fun at the Harbor Walk.

We left destin and headed to New Orleans. (It wasn't raining when we left but the flood wasn't far behind)

We had the best time on the 4th of July. We spent at least 6 hrs by the pool. We ate 100 pounds of crawfish. Beignets too! Lots of family fun!

Po-boys and snow balls are a must we when go to NO. We also took a trip down memory lane. We saw lots of the homes that Mimi and Papa lived in. And even where Jeff grew up!

I wish vacation never ended!
