vbs

tanner & nate went to vbs at lmb this year for the first time. tanner loved it. i could have dropped him off at the door and picked him up 5 days later and he would have been fine. nate, on the other hand, not so much. sarah or matt stayed with him every night.

on friday night they did a little program. they sang and did all the dances perfect. how awesome it is to see how God is working in them!

PR Pirates t-ball party

last week we had our tball party for the end of the year. we had hot dogs, ice cream, and cup cakes. all the kids got a trophy. and they enjoyed swimming. oh what fun!

monday we went fishing in destin. i caught the most fish. 2! i caught the best fish in the ocean, a trigger fish and a big king. jeff caught a king too. we caught some other fish by had to throw them back. tanner was awesome catching his fish in the fightin’ chair. i was a remora (sp?) and we threw it back, but right when got up he said “i gotta puke”. finally he puked and felt so much better and started fishing again. conner loved it too. he played with the bait fish in a bucket most of the time.

too bad we won’t be able to fish for a while because of the oil. :(.

At the Beach

         

we had a busy weekend at the beach. friday we went down to the beach. saturday we went to big kahuna’s, then to “cookie in the face”, then to the track. sunday we came back to bristol for church then back to the beach. then on monday we wentout on the boat and caught a few fish. busy, busy, busy.

the boys loved the beach. tanner surfed on his buggie board and conner loved going in the waves with daddy. i just sat in my chair with my toes in the sand. we had a blast!

I know it looks like Conner is swimming, but he’s not. He just likes to go under water and glide to the side of the pool. He doesn’t cry and doesn’t get choked and wants to do it over and over again.

Brock is our neighbor and I'm so glad that he and tanner are friends and he will come over and swim so I don’t have to.

bread of life

 Bread of life is a ministry at our church where we cook dinner on Wednesdays before church. My mom has been very instrumental in how awesome this is.  We usually feed about 70 people a family style meal at the church and deliver about 20 meals to people who can’t get out. Last week we had an out of school bash. We ate party foods and played games. The kids really enjoyed it. I love seeing how these kids are growing and learning about God’s love,
